Prisoners affiliated to organisations which have not established or are not maintaining a complete and unequivocal ceasefire will not benefit from the arrangements. The situation in this regard will be kept under review.
Is McGeough a qualifying prisoner ?
Yes. He was a Provo sentenced for Provo activities. He may no longer be a Provo but the GFA still holds.
Let the fella go home to his family. What is the point of this fiasco? He has done enough time in Europe and USA and it is really only a technicality that that time wasn’t for that offence. Most people involved eventually did time so it all balanced out.

He'll only serve 2 years - the punishment isn't worth the damage it'll do to the political process.

Clap, clap to the DPP! They must know that he'll be walking very soon. They must not be aware of cutbacks or they would have saved the taxpayers all the expenses of this case. And to think, had this prosecution took place before 98 he'd be free for a long time.
