    Night, night.
Ah back to the collective guilt mentality which sustained this murder campaign in the first place. The irony is that many joined the IRA to get revenge.

Divide and conquer, gang and counter-gang - the essence of British imperial policy.

You're loyal to a system which views you and yours as expendable.

When such questions come to be considered, society, order and the notion of justice begin to fall apart.

I am very disappointed by your response.

Do you believe agents were placed in both Republican and Loyalist terrorist organisations to (a) ratchet up the killing or (b) attempt to reign such organisations in?

    This much is true.

Perfidious Albion indeed. The Brits will cut the Nordies loose as soon as they feel it is in their best interests. In which case the Brits will turn all republican and apologetic for dividing Ireland.

And those feckin' Nordies, never liked them anyway.

Come on, you know it's true.

The HET also report, presumably based on intelligence, states that Damian Walsh was not the intended target of the gunmen. This raises further questions, not the least of which are who was the target and who supplied the intellgence on that target? Did the British Army unit believe it was witnessing the murder of one or more republican targets and fail to intervene accordingly?

    You're disappointed in my reponse!!!

You are the one who is attempting to justify the unjustifiable - the deliberate targetting of a civilian population by death squads

Disguise it under whatever fancy words you want but that's what it amounts to. It's an abstration to you ifor, nothing more. You want to play God? Join the British Army - they wrote the handbook.

BTW the answer to your question was both.

I am not, and you have completely misunderstood my posts.

Why on earth would the British intelligence services want to deliberately target the civilian population?

Do you imagine they were sectarian monsters with a bizarre vendetta against ordinary Catholics?

Your naivety and belief in the good auspices of the British military intelligence community is touching.

Isn't that a somewhat strange belief to hold?
