You can block people in their homes on a Sunday while paramilitary thugs bang war drums past their homes and shout sectarian slogans, but if some idiot decides to blast a bit of music from his car during a bigot war parade he gets 3 months?

I agree he's an idiot, but people get much less for serious violent crime.
    Nailed it, 100%

What the Orange Order does compared to this guy doesn't even compare, it's ludicrous he got such heavy sentencing for it.

You know what British Citizen, I fully apologise for the above. 8 pages of people making excuses for this idiot make it apparent he's not as isolated an individual as I'd hoped.

Sync we knackers might have awful taste in music (and a lot of us do...I hate dance music, rap and most rock) but thats no reason to label people sectarian...

Which is why you look at the context of the situation.

Person listening to Flute Band/NWA/Wolf Tones at home = fine.

Moron blaring Sash My Father wore/Kop Killa/Whatever outside a Republican meeting/police funeral/Orange March = deliberate provocation.

Seriously. Just stop making excuses for the idiot. He got a suspended sentence that will hopefully teach him how to live in the country in 2010, and sends a nice message to other idiots on both sides that they'll get prosecuted for this garbage.

Listening to music about Ireland's struggle in Ireland...a problemn?

The Wolfe Tones play music that promotes a certain political goal. The Orange Order parades and promotes sectarian hatred of a majority of the population. You don't deserve three months in jail for playing music by an extremely popular band in Their Holiness' presence.

It's ****************************************. Nice to see the scum trying to make excuses for the PSNI & co. once again coming down overly hard on nationalists though. You do your community a great credit.

Is this how things would be in this 'United Ireland' you all speak of?

Deliberate provocation of Unionists during any expression of our culture and then everyone else shrugging their shoulders and making excuses that 'sure he's only having a laugh...'

    Can't wait...
