I highly doubt that any of the millions of people who have sung it since it was first written have ever actually been 'up to their knees in fenian blood'. It means nothing. Getting offended by that shows the person up as someone who just looks for an excuse to be offended.

I'm not too sure about the stats but isn't Derry in the 95% nationalist demographic? Surely an Orange Parade is likely to cause offence.
