Way to go Thirdwatch. SF do something right for once, albeit it with double standards. But asides from the point, you come along and throw in an insult to four million people of the Republic. No doubt you'd have trouble picking out the freestate if given a map of the world. It doesn't exist and is a name used by people who supported murder against people of the island of Ireland for 30 years plus.

No doubt you'll be back soon moaning that those same 4 million idiots won't vote for SF. Imagine that, you insult them and then expect them to vote SF somehow. S-p-o-t t-h-e c-o-n-n-e-c-t-i-o-n?

Take a ticket, get in line. You're turn with the dunce cap is coming.

Do you always get offended so easily?

To be honest, I'm more offended when people refer to this corrupt state as a Republic.

    I just got Markeys point.

He and everyone of the 4 million of us who live in the Free- State -republic have the right to criticise our Fianna Fail misrulers and praise others who rule with style, -but no one from the other part of our island can. Yet he can call some of them murderers and pass all kind of predjuiced judgments upon them.

He cleverly tries to shoot the messenger but neglected to deal with the message -Conor Murphy leadership. I just wonder how many of us 4 million carries the same old chip on our shoulders as Markey -one thats entirely manufactured and produced in the Free state republic!

    lol.

Thanks Mr. Angry, now you keep moaning and let FF continue to run the country in to the ground. Same as you always have and will do.

People like MarkeyS are hyper critical of SF because it distracts from the immense failure that they FG and Lab have been. FF dominate and run this society at every level and reward their supporters (with tarmac and medical cards) and themselves and their backers (With hard cash). As long as Markeys can say, but we kept the republicans out of it. FF are blessed with a meek opposition.

Nonsense, today's Irish News story on grammar schools indicates that the changes being sought by Catriona on behalf of SF are beginning to bear fruit.

SF members, like myself, recognise the role of the vociferous elite and their lickspittles in elements of the media. SF are not for turning on this issue and will continue to fight to ensure Catholic and Protestant children are not deemed failures at aged 11. The sickening spectacle of only the PUP being prepared to stand up for working class Protestant children is quite sad.

Decisive action has been taken by Murphy against a number of very senior public employees on their handling of very large public utility contracts.

The refrain from many 26 county politicos is that SF is not fit for government in that jurisdiction. However, when the actions of Murphy are held up against the cronyism and 'no one is to blame attitude' employed by the current FF/Green administration, that refrain looks pretty weak.
Excellent point. The record of the ministers up in the government of the six counties are very good - and put our own government here to shame.

Do you know, I've often wondered, would the fractious nature of politics in NI be good for the 26 counties as well. Having two opposing sides, which will kicks lumps out of the others for making mistakes, keeps politicians on their toes. Down here, the two opposing sides are too friendly with one another.

I commend Conor Murphy for what he did today, and a few friends who read about it, couldn't believe it actually happened
