Those who ponder the worth of locally elected politicians having a say in affairs within the northern six counties would do well to note the example set here by DRD Minister Conor Murphy.
Decisive action has been taken by Murphy against a number of very senior public employees on their handling of very large public utility contracts.

The refrain from many 26 county politicos is that SF is not fit for government in that jurisdiction. However, when the actions of Murphy are held up against the cronyism and 'no one is to blame attitude' employed by the current FF/Green administration, that refrain looks pretty weak.

Fair play to Conor for this. Hopefully he will be a Minister in an Irish Govt instead of a Brit assembly some day. We need his sort!

I saw the result this morning, but not who initiated it. I was thinking at the time about the contrast down here. It can't but help do good for Sinn Fein's image and it's something to be applauded.
