Decisive action has been taken by Murphy against a number of very senior public employees on their handling of very large public utility contracts.

The refrain from many 26 county politicos is that SF is not fit for government in that jurisdiction. However, when the actions of Murphy are held up against the cronyism and 'no one is to blame attitude' employed by the current FF/Green administration, that refrain looks pretty weak.
Fair play to Conor for this. Hopefully he will be a Minister in an Irish Govt instead of a Brit assembly some day. We need his sort!

I saw the result this morning, but not who initiated it. I was thinking at the time about the contrast down here. It can't but help do good for Sinn Fein's image and it's something to be applauded.

Can you imagine the outcry from the unions here if that happened?

    Thanks for that Pat.

Another example of Conor's good governance at Stormont. As I said on another thread, it's been widely accepted across the political spectrum here, of the good job he's doing. Well done

Strangely no trumpeting of the complete and utter mess Catriona Ruane is making of our education system with her sectarian campaign to eradicate preparatory and grammar schools - schools used mainly by the Unionist community.

Is it true most Shinners can't believe the mess she's made either Pat?
