    Kick the Pope?

    As a foreigner, I would appreciate some education on "Kick the Pope" bands. Videos, whatever.

    Not many of them, actually none, consider themselves as 'Kick the Pope' bands to be honest. I assume you're talking about 'Blood and Thunder' bands?

    Worst thread ever.

    Good article here.

    Orange streets awash with booze and vomit

    Paul Malcomson has some good information on these cults, considering he is been through the ranks of them all.

    Paul Malcomson former member of various loyal orders who is on a mission to expose the truth and destroy these anti-Christian cults.
    He left them after what he described as extreme anti-Christian practises and sectarianism.
    He has described them as using 'Satanic and Pagan rituals' in the past.

    His book 'behind closed doors' exposed what goes on within the Orange Order.
    He is now set to release a new book exposing the Loyal Black Orders.

    A born-again Christian Malcomson claims these orders use dark secretive rituals, he exposes extremely strange behaviour from these organisations such as the drinking from an actual human skull, the use of sinister imagery such as daggers and bones, and the lie that these orders are religious.
    He states that these orders are in no way religious, this is the motivation behind his books.

    Other rituals include...

    • Blindfolding a new recruit and making him kneel on a mock coffin while vowing to destroy his own life if he divulges the teachings of the order;

    • Tying a rope around the neck of the recruit, who, as in Freemasonry, has most of his clothes and one shoe taken from him and has a purple ribbon fastened to his shirt;

    • Riding the goat - a ritual in which the blindfolded initiate is wrapped in a canvas sheet and then kicked and tossed about by the assembled members of the Order;

    • Beating the candidate across the legs with brambles and, in some cases, holly to the accompaniment of laughter and even goat-like bleatings.

    Malcomson believes these rituals have their roots in witchcraft rather than Protestantism.

    'The Orange Order says it is the defender of the Protestant faith but these secret oaths and strange rituals are more to do with paganism and are ultimately satanic. I want to inform Evangelical Christians that their faith is incompatible with membership of an order that tolerates organisations like the Arch Purple.'

    He states that these organisations preach to their members that Catholics are sub-human, a lesser people.

    Being a member of these organisations has helped people with employment in the past and he also states that Unionist politicians use their loyal order mark to recieve votes, a refernece to their membership is often shown in their electoral leaflets.

    Malcomson states that Protestant secret societies have "cultivated hatred and sectarianism" and should be disbanded, according to the author of a new book on the Royal Black Institution.

    He states that basic reform and modernisation simply isnt good enough and he wants to expose the truth about these organisations and calls for them to be completely banned.

    Malcomson claims that many hundreds of born-again Christians have left the Orders since his last book was released.

    'I know that I can cause them more damage than the likes of Brendan McKenna could ever do but that's been my calling for the last seven years and it's going to continue.'

    St333vie boy,

    No one's mentioned any of the Loyal Orders! Your pure, blind hatred of the Orange Order is showing itself again.

    This is about Loyalist bands - who's only link to the OO, Black and Apprentice Boys is that they are hired by the local lodges to lead them on parade. 90% of members of Loyalist bands are NOT members of any of the Loyal Orders - know what you're talking about before you decide to post your ignorant, hate filled ramblings.

    I wasn't trying to offend. I hear so much from republicans that there's no such thing as 'Unionist/Orange/Ulster culture' yet hundreds of Republicans have no problem trying to imitate (poorly) our world wide respected parading culture.

    Keep practising bhoys - you'll get better with time!
