There comes a point when you really just have to accept reality.
To say that the IRA was controlled since 1972 is borderline crazytown.

Sure they had lots of informers. And Adams and McGuinness brought them down the road of peace. But wanting peace does not make you a British agent. There is no definite correlation between the two.

The fact of the matter is that the large large majority of IRA volunteers bought in to the peace process. That is an indisputiable fact. By th elogic going on here, 85% of the IRA were British agents.

Face facts. Some Republicans wanted peace, and turned away from violence. You are not of that opinion. But it doesn't mean those former republocans were British agents.

Myers writes, "and if my suspicions are correct, then some very wicked individuals were playing ducks and drakes with tthe lives,the peace and the sanity of the people of Ireland, and of the lives of police and soldiers, almost for entertainment value. Which is about as evil as it gets."

I'm glad to see the truth has finally dawned on Myers, I believe his conclusion is without doubt correct, the British had layers of informers in all the paramilitary groups.

I further agree with him that responsibility for huge numbers of murders, ostensibly carried out by paramilitaries, also rests with these high level British operatives.

Of course its not the first time in history that powerful British men have played ducks and drakes with the lives of the Irish people.

I am extremely glad that both communities in the North now support their elected representatives and that both sides can now forward with jobs and prosperity for the future.

We know now that the father and brother of Adams were child abuser/rapists. One might ask to what lengths would he have gone to prevent this from becoming public knowledge. I think if these facts had become known in the 70s or 80s it would have destroyed the credibilty of the Adams family within Republicanism
