Thread should probably come down until/unless this is confirmed.

It is the end of Iris's career if true but not the end of Peters.

No, it would make sense if any form of adultery was involved. She is on the record as believing that governments should uphold god's law after all.

    I'm sure there's a loophole there somewhere.

Well, we don't know. However, even if not, she seems very certain and convinced that others are sinful, based on certain readings of the bible, but other, closer to home exhortations in the same "book" appear not to trouble her too much.
"......... we must sometimes listen to those who, consumed with zeal, have scant judgment or balance. To such ones the modern world is nothing but betrayal and ruin.........We feel bound to disagree with these prophets of doom who are forever forecasting calamity -- as though the world's end were imminent."

Ok, I don't want to get into a guessing game here. But imo, unless the individual concerned was saying one thing in public and doing the opposite in private, I don't think there is any public interest. I find it hard to think of any Irish politician that takes the high moral ground with respect to sexual mores (-- hastilly adding between consenting adults). So, I'm not convinced.

The story is being broken on here. I have exchanged messages with David about it.
