UDA support powersharing and will use political methods only

The UDA has voiced its support for the return of power-sharing and the peace process.

The inner Council of the organisation met with other leading loyalists in Londonderry last night to launch a new strategy document entitled `Learning from others in conflict`.

It acknowledged that the ordinary Catholic community had suffered appallingly as a result of its actions.

And the UDA also promised to pursue its aims politically rather than through the use of arms.

To be fair, why wouldnt they support the process and the proposed power sharing. They must be very happy, the union is copperfastened and the provos are supporting law and order.

Whingers dont want to see the fact that everyone is on level terms and the ballot boxes will decide who wants what and who gets what.
Theres a new battle in the north and its not being fought with guns, but the aims and goals have not changed for any side.
Unionists have sacraficed and Republicans have sacraficed, its time to put the guns down and get to work.
The IRA is pursuing peaceful means and now the UDA, once the sectarianism and war is pulled from the north it will be down to real bread and butter politics and the desire of the people.
Copperfastened, supporting the brits bla bla, put away your Michael Collings dvd for one minute, its 2007 no-one is going to shoot their way to a united ireland its not the easter rising, things are done differently now, something everythinhg should be greatful for and look forward to.
