Come on El Mat even you must admit old MOPE has tried to make a career out of his 'persecution' by ne'er do wells. A few nicked posters and the odd broken window pale into insignificance when measured against the damage his old mates in the RUC could do in a five minute house'search'. Neither he nor the SDLP are the only victims recently in the poster pogrom but PJ is the only one to go national on it.
I have spoken to some people in Crotlieve and they don't have a lot of time for PJ believing he shafted a local party stalwart who arguably would have had a fighting chance of a seat had he not been forced out of electoral politics.
You clearly are very confident of his chances therefore I will bet you £50 he gains less votes than he did in his first Assembly election. If you are willing to take this on loser donates the £50 to the local hospice.

I think it's pretty ridiculous that people rip down the posters of their rivals, and furthermore, some on here admitting to doing it and seeing it a perfectly acceptable action to engage in.

Another thing that pisses me off about election posters is how some parties and individuals put them on every fecking lamp post along a given stretch of road. The biggest offenders of this in my area are the SDLP and the Green Party. Most other parties and individuals have seemed able to contain themselves and have put them up mostly on poles near roundabouts and junctions.

Last year Saoirse published a photo of a well known Sticky PSF member pulling down Sinn Féin posters in South Armagh. Good that he was caught in the act, but no doubt they will be trying the same tactic in the upcoming election.

Offer a prize for best poster plucking photo North and South.

You all have cameras on your phones. You can send pics easily to a google email, with no setting up.

I see a stoop candidate in East Derry has had some of her posters taken down. The RUC are investigating the allegations that someone involved in campaigning for a rival candidate was observed (by two independent witnesses) taking her posters down in Limavady.

Helen Quigley (stoop candidate in Derry) is complaining that she had posters of hers taken down in the Creggan Link area of the city.
