This is very interesting Pat, is this a synopsis of the PSF attitude to the issue of informers, or maybe the national question or investigations into shinner 'indiscretions' like the Paul Quinn or Robert McCartney murders?

RNU members - 'we are not touts'

Prominent Belfast Republican Network for Unity spokesmen, Martin Óg Meehan and Tony Catney, have denied 'tout' allegations made in a letter sent to journalists by a man purporting to be a former Special Branch officer. The anonymous letter named three republicans and three loyalists as police assets and claimed that not enough was being done to clamp down on dissident violence.

Have Meehan and Catney been named anywhere since this story broke last Saturday morning? The Telegraph didn't elaborate on who the three nationalists might be so it would seem strange if these two came out to deny something without actually being linked to it.

The Telegraph did do everything but name a very, very senior south Belfast Loyalist who it claims has been an informer for over 15 years. That couldn't be the man who somehow rose to the top of an organisation filled with dozens of experienced killers despite having only ever been involved in collecting protection money and smuggling cigarettes?
