    Vol Brenden Huges on Michael Stone

    Starting at 5:32 Vol Brenden Huges, a true soldier of the people gives his view on Michael Stone which highlights in its humanity the tragedy of British rule in Ireland....

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEqVCprdI40&feature=related"]YouTube - Irish Ways (part 5)[/ame]

    "I think he is a vctim, he is as much a victim as the three people he killled that day...."

    So much for Eoghan Harris and the savagery of the Irish.....

    Why cant the Brits just leave us alone and stop rippping our country apart? Why again and again are irish people whether they be Michael Stone or Michael Collins or Eoghan Harris prepared to act as their agents?

    The Brit's don't care. Honestly. Do you think the english would be sorry to see an independent Northern Ireland or a Unified Ireland? They don't care. A sizeable minority of the Republic don't care either. GFA was nearly 10 years ago. Both sides need to grow up and address the situation as it pertains to today, not the mistakes and crimes commited by both sides in previous decades.

    Well they (the English people as a whole) don't care because their empire has collapsed and there is no chance of getting it back so they have adapted.
    On the whole the English people are a better class of sheep than that of most other nations, perfect proof is their meek acceptance of the police -nanny state that has formed there ever more quickly since the 70s.
    There are a small minority of people who object and I would imagine it was an equally small number who objected to empire in the 19th century.
    Much of the English permanent govt, military and establishment on the other hand has been gripping as hard as they can on the North.
    The people who consider themselves Brits in the North also care a great deal.

    No, he is a murderer who served a short sentence. He obviously learned nothing from the experience and again tried to murder more people. He might be psychotic, but what he is not is a victim.

    In no way was he as much a victim as the people he killed that day.

    Is it true that Stone was a former child inmate of Kincora boys home?

    So Pat, does the party know that you are taking the D.U.P. line on victims?

    I am looking forward to the new year when we can read Brendan's honest opinion of Gerry Adams and his cronies. I have a feeling that Gerry isn't going to like it.

    A common misconception. Of course they care. Think of it for a second. Do you think the Brit establishment wants to let go of more than a million of its "citizens"?

    With the SNP in Scotland currently pushing for a referendum and the threat of the break up of the union, you make the preposterous assumption that the Brits are indifferent to losing crucial voting weight in Europe and internationally.
