Yes I understand there are many unanswered questions surrounding Omagh, and people can rant and rave about British involvement but at the end of the day if that bomb was not constructed, put into a vehicle and driven to Omagh and left there set to explode lives would not have been lost. These acts are reckless, and will without a doubt lead to the loss of many Irish lives if they continue.

I definitely do not see the British as a nuetral force, I am old enough to remember our dark days and the treatment our community recieved from the British Soldiers. So much has changed since then and the violence of the past which these criminals are trying to drag us back into is definitely not justified. We have Political representitives doing all the fighting that we need. Yes a slow and frustrating process but that is Politics and without a doubt better that the alternative that the criminals want for us.

No sign of the expert Brit watcher merle haggard yet!? And to think he was severley reprimanding me a couple of weeks back on the grounds that there was no such thing as Special Branch!

The people tasked with recruiting agents within the ranks of republican militants are MI5 and its associated military intelligence departments.

The Irish News also made this claim alongside their assertion John Brady killed himself after a visit from a non existant department of the PSNI.

I was foolish enough to take merle at his word (regarding the lack of a Special Branch). I certainly won't be doing that again! My apologies to Barry McCaffery of the Irish News and David McKittrick of The Independent, who are both journalists of high repute.
