[QUOTE=Border-Rat;2204983]The UDA claimed that in March their ceasefire held on by its fingernails. Probably, any dissident attack upcoming will see a Loyalist response. Dissidents claimed RUC families are legit, yesterday was an apparent deliberate attack on the woman. Loyalists could cite that as their reasoning for killing a civilian. Then it might snowball, just in time for the conservatives. Will Cameron deploy the army?[/QUOTE

it isnt unreasonable to suggest this mite happen, the latest attacks were in the heart of unionist east belfast ,maybe in an attempt to draw out the loyalists and the brits...........the only thing is it is catholic officers they are going after ..how many loyalists would care about that

Loyalists kill Protestants, they destroy Protestant communities and the majority of their attacks are on other Loyalists who have been selling kids drugs on their patch.

They've tried very hard to kill Police officers themselves when it suits them, and even stole a cash point while doing it.
Sounds identical to what the dissident are up to, only for some reason Loyalists believe they are a better class of scum.

republicans have also killed catholics do you honestly think loyalists would seek revenge over the death of a catholic.the loyalists are too busy fighting each other at the moment .As for cameron and the brit army some of the current top brass n the conser party openly hold the same views as a certain x leader of theirs so who knows.at the moment only attacks on brit soil will make any government rethink the current situation in the north

True, but while they certainly never were as disciplined and structured as the IRA, that doesn't negate the point that it would hardly be surprising to see some loose segment of one of the loyalist groups decide to kill an innocent Catholic the next time one of the dissident republicans kills a soldier or a cop or anyone else....I can certainly see a reprisal killing happening, but I don't buy that there is an atmosphere today conducive to it going much further than that.
