From being in these forums a while now and reading many different links to various news websites, (RTE,UTV,BBC..) It seems to me that the BBC is by far the most honest news website.
Has anyone else noticed particular trends used by media organisations?
Technology today makes it quite easy to see what crap or truth the media are feeding theit chosen audiance, or so it would seem.
I find The Bluntness of the BBC's reports towards northern ireland very refreshing, RTE and UTV surprisingly seem to have a hint of political motivation behind how their stories are phrased and portrayed.
UTV constantly waters down speeches by unionists and portrays Loyalist villans as some kind of soap star celebrities, and RTE just tends to ignore a lot of major topics so as not to offend people especially unionists oddly enough![]()
The BBC seems to be more willing to highlight the truth even in acts such as british atrocities and wrong doings than ofcourse UTV and more surprisingly RTE.

Theres loads more, it just seems to me that the BBC doesnt cut out material nor does it shy away from the harsh truth.
I believe the media play a very large part in how people percieve their surroundings, and in the past people have been fed a diet of lies and one sided opinions, but only today where so many sides of everyones story can be viewed at the touch of a button, truth is being brought out into the open.
Was the BBC biast in the past, is it still biast or does it represent how the british view irish politics today?
