    British Collusion in the 1970s

    Hey people

Heres the link for the report from the international panel about alleged collusion by British security forces in the Republic in the 1970s.

    Very interesting read

The Dáil committee on Justice has published a report this evening which has said that widespread collusion took place in the 1970's.

    From RTE.

It looked into 18 different fatalities in the Republic as a result of terrorist activity and pointed to claims of collusion between loyalist groups and Britain.

It concluded that the State should have done more to assist the victims of atrocities in the 1970s.

The Committee said it was in no doubt that there was collusion between the British security forces and the terrorists behind all of the atrocities that were considered in Justice Henry Barron's fourth report.

It also found that it is fully satisfied that collusion not only occurred, but was widespread.

It also recommended that a full debate on the issue of collusion take place in both the Dail and Seanad.

I am reading this report now, I can not believe how strong the language is the committee has used, it has said that these acts where “International Terrorism by all levels of the British administration”. It says that the British state carried out acts of murder in Ireland; this is unbelievable stuff, beyond anything Barron has ever said.

The big question now is, what will come of this report??

Will Ahern stand up as a proper leader and make some noise on behalf of an outraged Irish nation or will he wimper along with no sense of self worth like usual.
