Word around town is battle between kiely and byrne for the job.Gilligan is supposed to be bought by the promise of 5 chairs at 6 grand a go.Thats going to be a great consolation to the people of St Marys Park,though his antics when r t e came down to cover the knocking of one house when trying to give the impression that Regeneration is still on course would suggest he is now playing the game with the city manager and any left wing notions he may have once had have been put to one side.

Although not from Limerick I would have to say that there is plenty to be proud of when it comes to Limerick. The people of Limerick are as a rule even tempered and tolerant. It has its problems but where doesnt. I would be proud without question to represent the city and I am sure Kevin Kiely will be also.

The mayoral election is not so clear now.Gilligan is having 2nd thoughts and FG running around like headless chickens,lots of possible permutations with or without FG.Will keep you posted as soon as things become clearer.
Its finally decided Gilligan has pulled out,Kennedy is supporting FG the obnoxious Kennedy is to be mayor in return for his support.Will FG ever learn doing deals with Kennedy? The next 5 years will be interesting.
