Attn Kerrygold ...the Mobile Phones and the Town in Fear

Whats the story down there KG?

Read a homourous article about the goings on with mobiles in the council chambers... Is Ms Ferris going to bring the 'big stick' with her some day?

On a more serious note, apparently the latest sex attack in the town, on a male this time, raises the question is this a co-ordinated gang in operation or are these copycat attacks?

I heard the Chair on the radio this morning and thought she was quite right to do what she did. There are rules and the councillors decided what the rules should be and they should follow them, if they feel they can't then they should table a motion to amend standing orders to suit them.

There again, a cynic might think the row suits bot involved. Personally, I think she is genuinely trying to do her job and some old heads don't appear to have any manners or respect for the chamber or the chair.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

she was dead right, though I did have a bit of a laugh when the Indo described Fleming as leaving the room red-faced. I can just imagine what it was like. And as for "Dolly", he sounded like a fella the teacher caught out.

The one thing I'd complain about, is the ten minute rule. They should be out on their ear full stop, no second chances. Its absolutely ignorant of anyone to come into a meeting with a mobile phone and takes calls, unless it is for emergency purposes. Obviously if someone is waiting on a call like an expectant parent, or a member of the emergency forces, ok, but only after advising the chair. And even at that, they should still leave the chamber for good if they get a call.

P.s. Smashing pic of Triosa. You have to get her running in South Kerry, if only so we can sell the posters

I heard Healy-Rae on the radio as well. Thought he was a pompous, self-important git. Definitely didn't like being told off by a woman.....

Hey all. Yep, Healy-Rae made a right ass of himself again. He thought that he could rattle Toireasa Ferris, but unfortunately for him it turned against him. She gave him an awful roasting on Radio Kerry yesterday and the phone ins after were unbelievable. They did a poll and 82% of callers agreed with her. He is an ignorant man and he does give the impression that he is living in the 1930's, because his manner towards woman is disgraceful. I think the whole debacle will stand to Toireasa and will make her more popular than she already is.

NewFF, yes there is a problem of sexual attacks in Tralee, there have been 5 in 5 months I think. Don't think its a gang, there was a double rape of a an Amarican student a couple of weeks ago and the perps have been caught. The latest was an attack on a man by two other men. There was another attack on a woman walking by a man on a bike. Its the same old story, the cops can do ************************ all!
