Healy-Raes form new Kerry Party for Local Elections

Radio Kerry have broken a news story that the Healy-Raes will formally announce tomorrow that they are setting up a new Kerry party to fight next year's local elections called the Kerry Independence Party.

From the statement Radio Kerry read out I gather that issues such as planning and farming issues such as the hen harrier and the introduction of the eagle into Killarney National Park are behind the party's formation.

The statement also said that Kerry should re-examine it's participation in the EU! Jackie will be informing the Ceann Comhairle (John 'the bull' O'Donoghue ) on Wednesday that he will be changing his status in the Dail from that of an Independent to a KIP Deputy.

Looks as if the Local Elections down here just got interesting . There will be a formal launch at the Manor West hotel opposite County Buildings at 11am tomorrow. I might go along for the laugh. Anyone else going?

What a fcking joke. I just heard that. Who are they trying to kid. Jackie and Dolly have been out busting their guts defending El Berto and FF over the last few weeks and even attacking honourable people like Mike Cahill who dared to speak out and now they've decided on an Independent party. Christ they're more Fianna Fáil than Fianna Fáil.
