Typical extreme nationalist reply, your crowd are not terrorists and the other side are.

Exactly, how could people defending this island be deemed as terrorists.

The terrorists are the ones that have ruled with terror - the Brits.

I think I might defend the island by planting a bomb outside the local Sinn Fein offices because I deem them dangerous to Irish society. But the good news is that because I'm defending the island I'm not a terrorist.

What do you expect when you compare the likes of Michael Stone and Johnny Adair to someone like Martin Ferris, a man that the people of your county has elected to the Dáil on 2 seperate occassions, once topping the poll.

You are back to the same twisted logic, republican nationalists who are defending the island are not terrorists, whilst the Irish unionists and loyalists who in their view are also defending the island are terrorists. If you start using your brain and thinking about the logic of your reply then you will only come to one conclusion and that is they were all terrorists.

What's an Irish unionist except an oxymoron?

    Twisted logic.

Republican parties are the only parties that have truly attempted to protect this island.

If you don't know that they live in Ireland by now but hope have we of ever having a lasting piece. I know damn well that I don't have to give you a history lesson about unionism and loyalism but suffice it to say that the believe they are defending the island (obviously they are now located mainly in the NE corner) from the republicans and papists.

But that's allowing the Republicans to define what they do as protecting the island. I'm sure the Blueshirts would have claimed they were protecting the island. The right to protect the island can only be granted by the people of the island; it can't be something that is awarded to oneself.
