There is much speculation that Kerry will be one constituency come the next general election.
If that is the case, it will be interesting to see whom the parties will run here. Fianna Fail could run four candidates, two in the North, and two in the southern half of the constituency.
Sean Walsh, the Chairman of the Kerry Co Board would be a posibility in the Northern end of the constituency. He would command a great vote across the county. Tommy Mac or Norma Foley will renew rivalry and contest the Tralee town area. Mac will struggle for votes South of the County.
Over in the South,John O'Donoghue will be the frontrunner, if he stands. He will be joined by either Tom Fleming, Mark Daly or Colin Miller. Fleming has already had two chances at winning a seat, and may be considered damaged goods at this stage. Miller is O'Donoghue's eyes and ears in the constituency and would be an ideal candidate in Killarney town, where he is based, while Mark Daly, as stated, could take on the Healy-Rae's in the Kenmare-Kilgarvan area.
