    Limerick West GE

    FG candidate literally neck and neck in 2002 can thay deliver a second seat this time?
    What of Niall Collins? His campaign is certainly up and running he has his posters up early.

    Well......if you look at this one

    3 FF-PD candidates
    3 FG-LAB-GR candidates

    Last time FF-PD 53%
    Last time FG-GR 44%

    Result: 2 FF 1FG

    If the FG vote increases evenly and the FF vote falls evenly, with the PD making little impact or transfering to the rainbow along with Labour and Green, this could very well be 2 FG. The PD is former FF, and as an IND in 1997 got a respectable 3,600 votes and blocked the second FF seat allowing 2 FG.

    Hard to say. So many variables here.

    Its not impossible. In a terrible election FG still got 42%
    In a surge i can't see us not increasingly here. As for a second seat....that all depends on the 1st preference votes first and foremost
