"the celebrity hairdresser who has a previous drink driving conviction from 1992."

If we seized the vehicles of drunk drivers we might have less of them.

Next up will be someone being done for spousal abuse doing an interview saying, "It's not like I broke any of her bones or put her in hospital that often."

From the thread title I thought that this was referring to Gay Byrne and his vanishing investments.

I praise the Sunday Independent for its consistency.

On the question of drink driving laws, we are treated to the wisdom of a convicted drink driver.

On vital matters of economic recovery and the state's finances, we read opinions given exclusively to the Sindo by the most insolvent and discredited of businessmen.

What matters, as always, is what bar one drinks in, what parties one is seen at and whether you're the Sindo's type of person.

Due to our crazy defamation laws, I am limited in what I can say. But there is more to the 1992 conviction than meets the eye.

    twat...

he comes across as an arrogant git who thinks laws are for the little people.

i'd have slapped a custodial sentence as he is clearly a threat to the pubic.

    Agree.

The article says as much about the Sindo as it does about the scanger who got convicted.

I loved the fact that his son threw a can of beer at the cops and then his mum said that he was only trying to get their attention.

Translation of the whole article: My hairdressing business is going down the tubes. Can I get some free publicity, and put a sympathetic angle on it.
