Really unsure as where this should be posted.

But I know everyone is entitled to a personal life etc, but the first thing I am wondering should those who work in the media whether it is radio, tv or print be up frank and honest about who their partners are, if their partners are currently involved or want to be involved in politics, just some media hacks could be a bit bias in their media comments on political parties?

My second point is looking through the various letter pages of the newspapers etc I see many names of people who are involved in politics, should this be declared when they are writing to the newspapers. I remember one stage a few years ago when the Irish Times published three-four letters one day supporting Minister Michael McDowell and those letters were written by card carrying members of the PDS?
