Ah the same party that introduced social partnership, brought lasting peace to this Island, doubled the number of people at work, brought unemployment down to their lowest ever level; and now takes the hard decisions neccessary when this country faces the worst WORLD economic crisis in a century.

The recession is far worse in this country than in the US and the UK. UK growth is expected to fall to -2.8% this year, compared to at least -5% in Ireland. You can't make that argument with any credibility. If it were widely believed to be true, FF wouldn't be 5% behind FG. It is not true. The reality is that the Irish recession is worse because FF refused to take the hard decisions in the good times, including public-sector reform e.g. changes in work-practices, performance-related pay, opening the electricity, gas, public-transport etc. markets up to real competition (which would have stemmed inflation and pay demands from the unions), the failure to implementat of the Bacon Report with respect to social and affordable housing, and the failure to reform stamp-duty when it might have made a difference.

No you were not. Re read your post. Interesting to note that your customers tell you whether they are FF supporters or not. Polls are not necessarily accurate but are probably a better indication of what people think than your customers.
FF and Cowen do not seem to be overwhelmed by public support. I am sure they will be delighted to hear that your customers are as stupid as you.

Also note from my post that many of the conversations were not spoken to me directly. I don''t have time to be standing around talking all day! I also overheard people as I worked. I don't go around with F.F. stamped to my forehead but I do know many of the people in the town where I work and in some cases their politics also.

It would appear all of these people with a different opinion to yours is Stupid???
