Margret Thatcher; The Long Walk to Finchley

Is on BBC4 in a few minutes after this excellent flautist finishes playing.

BBC - Press Office - Margaret Thatcher: The Long Walk To Finchley

Anyway, the show has the potential to be good. Lets watch, shall we?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Finchley's as British as South Armagh, don't you know?

Slightly less Jews and Greeks in South Armagh, though...

Is the title of this show a play on the title of Nelson Mandela's biography 'Long Walk To Freedom'?

One can hardly compare the two...

Though for a woman to achieve what Mrs. Thatcher did is truly a remarkable feat.

I presume you mean her achievement of getting to be PM of the UK and not her subsequent Sodom and Gomorrah-isation of same?
