She wanted to write a Pro-Lisbon piece. Fitzgibbon said no. Apparently the Sunday Times went against Lisbon. So what! The Irish Times was utterly Pro-Lisbon. Still though, her work on Cuil was wasted.

Would she prefer Tony O'Reilly to decide instead?

Hmm. The assertion that the Irish Times was pro-Lisbon is one I would certainly agree with. However, the assertion that it doesn't carry anything that isn't pro-Lisbon is demonstrably false - is this article by Vincent Browne "utterly pro-Lisbon"?

So on the one hand we have the much-decried Irish Times, which provably does carry anti-Lisbon pieces, although posters here say it doesn't - and on the other hand we have the Sunday Times, which a Sunday Times journalist says had an explicit editorial policy of attacking Lisbon, yet which mysteriously escapes any condemnation...

And now we will pause for a word from the apologists. Well, many words, more probably.

Perhaps because the Sunday Times still isn't considered to be an Irish newspaper? It is an English Sunday newspaper with an Irish section.

A blogger who was hired by the Sunday Times to write a column and who was then hired by the Irish Times to write a column. She has appeared on RTE and apparently is pro-FG.

The Irish Times adopted a blatant pro-yes agenda. You'd swear the Irish owned media had no bias whatsoever the way Miss Carey blabbers on.

I have to love the left sometimes.

They oppose the most malevolent, anti-conservative project's progress at every turn. UKIP and the boys must be laughing as they think about it, all these campus commies doing the gruntwork for them. What's the left wing word for uncle Tom?
