    Leftie journalists

Do you think if journalism courses had an age restriction - say, 35 - there
might be fewer lefties writing for the newspapers?

Continue to read all the drivel and guff that constitutes the "Lifestyle" half of the papers nowadays and consumes acres of newspaper space, particularly at weekends?

No. The first names that spring to mind are Vincent Browne and Eamonn McCann.

Which journalists have radical left backgrounds? Charlie Bird and Marian Finucane supposedly do. They were apparently recruited to RTE by Eoghan Harris (I think). Anne Harris is a 'socialist', according to her ex-husband. Then there's Gerry Gregg. Who else?

In that case, contrary to the OP's view, the trick might be to lure them in at an early age to a cushy establishment job and wait for them to tack to the centre.
