This is gas. Sky News are sacking their Ireland correspondents because there isn't enough bad news to report:

A drought of bad news? They could've saved this puppy: if they'd only gone and hired George Lee!!

couldn't their journalists get up off their asses and investigate political corruption?
they'd have enough work to keep them going until retirement

Well according to Kevin Myers at least one Irish bank will fail this year so maybe they should stick around!

A champion of the people emerges with the age-old and appealing promise of "something for nothing" - to be financed through every-increasing taxes. Supply and demand are thrown out of gear - the overhead goes up; the effective use of human energy goes down; the standard of living is lowered because money cannot buy wealth that is not produced.

We don't need no Murdoch propaganda anyway. Good riddance Sky News Ireland.
Marxists, Feminists and Leftists operate on the basis of "liberating tolerance" - i.e. their ideas should be tolerated, and any opposition should be suppressed.
