Moronic pro EU "advertorial" in Daily Mirror.

Please excuse my naivete , but with all the questioning of libertas funding , I am just wondering who is funding the guff in todays mirror . A four page spread proclaiming the wonderfulness of the EU .
Its just that I thought there had to be a certain amount of balance in referendum debates . The "advertorial " refrains from suggesting which way people should vote but trumpets the EUs benefits ,chiefly soccer on TV and cheap phone calls

Contacts are given on the front and last page . I clicked them and it seems (www.euireland.ie) is funded by the european commission . Is this ethical ? Its just that in previous referendums I understood that information provided by the government had to be balanced . I take it this does not apply to our european government

Why is libertas funding so worthy of scrutiny yet huge media organisations and the EU itself can splash out on insulting propagada ?

Well tabloids will be tabloids. And seeing as the "Irish" Daily Mail has taken so absurd a position against the treaty, then I suppose some rivals might go in the opposite direction.

the daily mirror in the UK is generally more pro eu than the sun star etc
None of them generally do the europe thing here as they do in the UK but with the referendum here I guess they see their chance
