Queen visits U.K. or does she?

Surprising that the main RTE News did not mention (nor is it mentioned on their news website) that the Queen has arrived in Northern Ireland for a three day visit.........
Was it (over) embargoed for security reasons? (RTE gagged?)
    or
Was it RTE's own protest on the actual visit to what they often describe as 'our country' ?

French media had it up three hours ago......just discovered after a five minute search- via internal uk google- that she arrived at 16 hours just in time for afternoon tea, cucumber sandwiches and crumpets.

Probably because she is heading down here this week - my suspicions are raised even further by this non coverage.

Bertie is now back here I think...

We could be looking at a Long Good Friday....

She is in the North for the Ceremony of the Royal Maundy on Thursday. It is the first time it has been held in the North.

Top secret - don't let Dublin know......

Still no mention of it in any Irish (republic) media......censorship is really going a bit far tonight.

Who said the Dublin media could not be gagged?

    But who is gagging them?

By the way Her Majesty will not have to wash the feet of the 164 special people in Armagh on Thursday......

    Oh dear God.

The fact that she was coming to the North this week was announced months ago. We debated this in at least one thread for over a month.

Maybe they just figure its not newsworthy? Seeing as how most people down here really don't give a f*ck if the Queen visits NI
