True to point. But she stated she was reluctant to come forward because the rugby fraternity would use their power against her. The day she takes to the stand two Irish players, including the captain, sit in the gallery. That's pushing it a touch.

The female rugby team are leading the charge by the way.

#notmycaptain Rugby sponsors should understand they are now becoming identified with the Most Misogynistic Sport in Ireland. The case is not unique, the victim coming forward is.

Is it a shock to you that rugby players have a reputation for treating women badly?

    I think I agree.

Character comes into the sentencing. A person can be a serial offender, or succumb to momentary temptation, or peer pressure.

A character witness tries to influence the judge's perception of the accused, and thereby the sentence.

And so ..here we go again. Implication as I see it is ALL MEN, ALL RUGBY PLAYERS are rapists as a start point guilty until proven innocent. As i said in the OP, next up after this trial is RUGBY will be in the dock and heads will have to be found and heads will have to roll to satisfy this largely social media driven blood lust.

Celebrities are constantly accused of this sort of thing. Sometimes it's true. Sometimes it's about money and not true.
