    Shouldn't the government be somewhat concerned that the media is being FURTHER consolidated?

    Weren't they supposed to be doing something around the level of media concentration already?

    one would imagine so

    However I'm sure the IT will argue that they need this to maintain a presence

    The worst scenario is a loss of Irish owned media companies, if our press is dominated by Murdoch titles and the Daily Mail we will in a dangerous place
