You know people often complain about Christmas being a commercial tool of businesses but I do like the distractions this time of year when you go to work and come home in the dark. People seem happier and as a result are easier to deal with.

    You think so?

I've always found people to be stressed, depressed, and jaded at this time of year.

    It's avoidable, surprisingly.

Yes. I'm a front line public servant who would consider myself expert on cüntishness. Definitely less cünty this time of year. And as a committed secularist, I say Ho Ho bloody Ho!

105.2, in the capital. Online, as well.

Anybody else feel similarly about 'regular' radio?
Just lost a long-winded post so here's the shortened version:

    - Can't stand Christmas music on a loop.
    - But I agree that listening to news programmes on the radio in the mornings would set you up for a bad day.
    - Spotify is my friend now and I read what I deem to be decent newspapers online to get the skinny on what's going on.

Around this time of year it's the silly season for Current Affairs and the like anyway. Drivel, padding and hail fella well met shyte on the radio mostly.

So I rub my hands together and look at my podcast list. Bliss it is.

Was listening only last night to Eamonn Mac Thomais on Dublin churches Protestant and Catholic and their congregations and history. Wonderful stuff. Sorry now that I listened to them all over a few hours. S H I T.

But I still have loads more and they do build up. I also have the Tunein Radio App so I can listen to radio from around the globe (where they speak English obv) that can be great craic too.

    I think I will survive.

Sorry SIL I don't give Christmas much of a chance to enter my headspace. There is a certain amount you have to do, but no more. Bah Humbug.
