Ex-'National Enquirer' editor for 'Irish Daily Mail'

According to a report in The Irish Times this morning:
"The former editor-in-chief of US magazine the National Enquirer has been appointed to take charge of the Irish Daily Mail and the Irish Mail on Sunday .
"Paul Field replaces Ted Verity as editor-in-chief of Associated Newspapers' Irish titles."
I guess we can look forward to a much greater culture of muckraking.

A improvement in the Irish Daily Mail's journalistic standards was long overdue.

Ah but it will never be as accurate or honest as the weekly world news!

A newspaper with higher journalistic standards than most Irish newspapers
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

Isn't the National Enquirer the mag that alleged that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' baby was spawned by extra terrestrials??

I guess we can look forward to even more sensationalist Frank Connolly tribunal stories!

"Bertie's digout pal exposed as extra terrestrial changeling"

"His bit-of-stuff Maria Corrigan refuses to comment"
