When will RTE move into this century and have a 6 o'clock news?
With regard to that, I have noticed that the Angelus has been broadcast at one minute to six over the past few weeks. This means that Six-One starts slightly earlier than the title of the programme says.
Why is there a need for correspondents at all on RTE? You know, business, weather, sports, and so on. Are the main anchors not capable of reading the script?
It's not as if any of the correspondents are asked any probing questions in air. Just reading it out.
Waste of money.
you do have to wonder about their competence too.
sean whelan for instance, is only business correspondant cause geoge lee fecked off. theres a bit of a difference between being a european correspondant and a business one but i dont remember him sodding off to do a course in it or anything.
i reckon theyve got as good a grasp on these things as your average gov minister does. (so a wiki and reuters search before hand )
