New political drama series from TG4. It got a very good review in the Times today. They said it avoided all the old clichés of such programmes to date.

The Running Mate (OS) (TS)
When the government is unexpectedly brought down by scheming Fianna Fail TD Paudie Counihan and a general election called, Vincent Flynn is again overlooked by the party as their priority candidate and Paudie is given preference. Vincent loyally accepts his position as Paudie's running mate but when some shady dealings are uncovered he is prompted by local school teacher Willie Costello to make a dramatic move.
