The increasingly liberal agenda of the mainstream media

    Hello P.IE,

Must say that the homosexuality and conservatism thread just left the building like a bunch of headless chickens!!!!! So, I'm starting a new thread with the primary focus on the liberal agenda in the mainstream media.

I'm tired of the fact that our moral base is being eroded by constant bombardment of perverted messages through the media.

Do you believe that there is a liberal agenda in the mainstream media?

    CL.

I have no problem with the liberalism of the media on so-called "moral issues" i.e. sex between consenting adults. I agree such an agenda is there though perhaps not so much in the Irish Daily Mail. The liberalism I oppose with respect to the media has nothing to do with those issues, but rather is directed at the "let them all in" attitude to immigration. - in particular the fomenting of "causes-celebre" and the portrayal of opponents of the open-door as "racist". This was most evident to an almost hysterical degree during the Citizenship Referendum, when almost all the national media united to chastise Michael McDowell for holding the "racist" referendum. That is a cosy-consensus I despise utterly.

Yes I do. And I know who's behind it too. It's the ESB:

'This “silent war” is being conducted against unknowing civilians and soldiers by military and intelligence agencies. Since 1980, electronic stimulation of the brain (ESB) has been secretly used to control people targeted without their knowledge or consent. '

    Unite and fight the ESB!

What exactly is our moral base?

For starters people increasingly having pre-marital sex with multiple partners with no regard to the consequences of such actions erodes the moral base.

The moral base in this case is the protection of new life.

Promiscuity inevitably leads to abortion on demand as people
do not want to take responsibility for their careless and selfish actions.

No. In fact, I believe that if anything there is a conservative agenda in the mainstream media.

Can you give some examples of liberal bias in the media?

Is a knee-jerk smokescreen reaction to Murdick buying the Wall Street Journal.

Could a mod please move this to political humour

What do you mean? I don't follow.

I can understand people irresponsibly having sex can be a bad thing although I don't agree having sex itself is bad but I can sort of see what point you are making.

So is your actual point that you if someone gets pregnant they should have that child and there should be no circumstances where a morning after pill or termination is allowed?

    That makes you pro-life?

If so what happens then to the baby after the baby is born?
