I'm tired of the fact that our moral base is being eroded by constant bombardment of perverted messages through the media.

Do you believe that there is a liberal agenda in the mainstream media?

Of course there is. You are quite correct. Congratulations on being brave enough to post what you did and do not be pressurised into taking down your FF avatar if, as I assume, you actually are an FF supporter or member. The overwhelming majority of journalists in Ireland have a liberal agenda and are virulently anti-Catholic. I can think of only one pro-Catholic journalist, David Quinn. However, there is a large gap between what the media want on any moral issue and what the public want. At the divorce referendum, 99.99999999% of journalists supported a 'yes' vote, but the final outcome was almost 50/50. Likewise on the abortion referendum in 2002. At the moment there is a roughly 50/50 split between social conservatives and social liberals in Ireland, but this totally fails to be reflected in the media. It is now perfectly normal for media personalities to vent their anti-Catholic opinions without any right of reply. For example, Dave Fanning recently described the Catholic Church as evil on some RTE show or other. If he'd said that about Muslims. his severed head would now be stuck on a railing in Dublin city center. But, away from the media the Catholic Church and other Christain Churches still have widespread support. For example, last Sunday some 30,000 people climbed Croagh Padraig. I'm sure there were precious few from the national media among them.
FL, Do you think that these liberal/revolutionary types come from really tough family backgrounds and they want to destroy (consciously or unconciously) the natural order and especially traditional family values as it is the cornerstone of the natural order?

    Hang on guys,

If a discussion is going to be had about liberal media - lets have it about liberal media, and not about (anyone's) views on the decline in 'family values' or whatever.

    I won't tolerate any sex-talk, it's not appropriate, I've said this before.

Stay on topic - i've moved this media.

My parents go to mass every day - except Saturday when my mother gets her hair done - and they do all the things people of their generation do catholic church wise but we were never made go to mass every Sunday nor have they ever had a problem with me being gay etc so if they can reconcile their faith I'm sure the 30,000 who go to CP can do the same and I doubt most of them do it for catholic reasons but rather to make the effort to do something worthwhile at least once a year.

So most of the mainstream media commentators are from f*cked up families? Is that your claim?

What was your family life like when you were growing up? Are you married now?
