    Al-Jazeera News Channel (English Version)

    Being a Sky Subscriber (maybe not for much longer prob) I invariably click the News and Documentaries option..... not for documentaries as theyre all repeats but the news option....

    Having watched Al-Jazeera (English version) for a while, I must say it is a breath of fresh air for news reporting not like the likes of say;

    Sky News - (Repetitive) News Channel of the Year
    Fox News - nothing needs to be said about that one
    RTE/TV3 - Local and Parochial but cant fit all that much into a 20min slot anyway

    Eg on Al-Jazeera at 1pm today they had an on the ground report and input from local Palestinians whose village is being bisected by the 8metre Israeli Wall being constructed presently... then an 8pm they had another on the ground report from Northern India about the sufferings of the lower castes and lack of affording of human rights to them

    I find it an interesting Channel and quite commendable in its reporting and the quality of its reporters and subject matter.

    What do people think?

    Yea I find Al Jazera is OK. I presume their arabic version is incredibly different though.

    BBC News 24 is very good (you have to add it through extra channels).

    I only tune in from time-to-tome to see the latest angry Muslim mob going mad over some perceived slight.

    Well judging from the Report today at 1pm there are a hell of a lot of gaps still in it
