    'Village' magazine - a family affair?

    I've just bought the most recent copy of Village magazine (always regret it instantly after paying for it!). I see that as well as the divine Vincent other Browne's who contribute to the magazine are:

    * Malachy Browne - Assistant Editor
    * Emma Browne - Reporter
    * Harry Browne - Media
    * Eoin O'Broin - EU Affairs

    Are they all related to Vincent?

    Emma is certainly his daughter. Couldn't tell you about the rest.

    I think Harry Browne used to write with Tribune and is American.

    HB is indeed American, and a good journalist in his own right - ex-IT, lectures in journalism up at DCU too if I'm not mistaken...

    With its miserable readership, and the amount of money it is losing, Browne needs all the help he can get. At this stage practically every magazine in existence, from Magill to the Messenger, outsells Village.

    The Messenger sells well over 100,000 copies a month. So, Vinnie's Village is a long way behind that. Of course, the Messenger is a better read. That might explain the gap.
    John Gormley. The lights may be on, but there's no one at home....
