    Kevin Myers

Kevin Myers has lost it since he joined the Indo, hasn't he? I'll admit that while I've no time for him I went to his column first when he was with the Irish Times because it was compelling stuff. Horribly compelling, often, but compelling nevertheless. Now, even though we get the Indo every day as well, I don't even bother. Ever. What's happened?

Not a clue why, but you're right. That bit on Islamic creationism a few months back was what finally put me off.

Did he write something on the Seanad today? If not, this shouldn't be in this forum. Myers is a gob************************e alright though. He was a boil on the Times' ass. His natural home is a rag like the Indo.

Something went awry in the move alright. Maybe Gerry O'Regan doesn't give him the same latitude as Geraldine Kennedy did.

Oops, sorry, my mistake, Gombeen. Maybe David will do the honours and move this to its rightful home, in culture perhaps. Mea cowboy, mea cowboy, mea Mexican cowboy.

Kevin Myers is the ultimate lazy freeloader.

He contributes nothing except his own shoddy opinions to whatever paper he writes for. Any fool could do that.

In what way is that different from any columnist?

guy seems to be more of a caricature now than a serious journalist. i dont read his stuff but usually when i hear about him now its when he's tapped for some radio show or another to be "controversial".

kinda sad really. id say he's a victim of his own sucess if he wasnt earning so much money
