Refuse to pay your TV licence fee

Why dosen't everyone refuse to pay their TV licence fee after the Bev fiasco? They can't lock us all up!

Well they are the radical or redundant party (I can't remember which)
Might be a good way of rebuilding grass roots support!

From listening to the Joe Duffy show there seems to be a lot of people with similar sentiment out there - a lot of people are very angry with RTE

If this has done nothing else, it has crystallised in my mind the total absence of any kind of principle, ethics and morality in Irish public life. I won't be paying my TV licence, bin charges, VAT, PAYE or anything else to this most corrupt of regimes because I'm leaving. There is only so much brazen arrogance, so much hypocrisy, so much mind-crushing stupidity a human being can take and I can't take anymore. This decision is beyond disgraceful.

I might have missed this on one of the other threads, but has the full amount of the settlement been disclosed? Without that information, it seems a bit daft to comment on RTE's judgement in accepting it.

Not that one should expect much in the way of intellectual rigour from the Duffyites.

I`ll be paying my TV licence. I agree that the Bev decision is disgraceful, However, the alternative to not paying your TV licence is another TV3. I`m happy enough to help fund Irish made programmes and help keep Irish actors here as well as at least giving the impression that we have some idea that there is a world worth portraying on this island.

I'm not paying Bev's legal bill. My licence fee won't be paid ever again.
