    Journalists should apologise

All those journalists who've been telling us for the last few years how the Greens were part of a Rainbow alternative to FF should now apologise. Resign, too, if possible. Are you listening there ... Messers Leahy, Raftrer, Sheahan, Magee?

I never bought the line that the Green % in polls should be added to FG/Lab. They never wanted into the Mullingar Alliance. Fair play. The Sergeant has outfoxed the Rabbitte. Again.

No. He should accept reality and that politics is the art of the possible. And a government is possible so compromise rather than putting the nation through another election is a good reason for not having to apologise. After all, it is in the national interest.

You are all ignoring the somewhat obvious fact that aly deal has to be approved by a members' convention. If they don't like it, they will say so. Anyway, is there any thing resembling a relaible source about what is and is not in the deal?

I know, Dave. I am not slagging you off or doubting your abilities or any thing like that....but do you really believe that that was the best they could do? I'd be shocked if that was their price. Maybe hippies just can't negotiate, or maybe the Times don't have the full picture.
