but jobs are needed now, real jobs

You need to base an industry on a resource that cannot move to another country, renewable energy can be harvested cheaper in Ireland and Scotland than anywhere else in Europe and this will be just as true in 50 years as it is now

On primetime there was a employment statistic stating that despite there been over 70,000 unemployed young men in the country, that there were only 230 or so jobs available on the jobs market. I presume that the rest of those across the unemployment spectrum are stuck in a similiar predicament. So I don't really understand were all this optimism is going to come from, unless of course there is a sudden movement towards mass jobs creation over the coming year or so.

At this stage I am getting bored travelling the country and presenting in IT's, County Councils and Chambers of Commerce on the massive contribution that renewable energy can make to job creation.

What can Hotels do to attract more tourists away from staying with families, friends & relatives?
Why not offer guests a free camcorder for the duration of their stay?
the Hotel could then upload the footage to their website allowing the tourist to download them within a specific time period after their departure.
Obviously for privacy reasons the tourist would need a password to access this, but this could be emailed to them.
It may also give the Hotel a chance to offer the tourist a special deal before downloading commences, such as 20% off your next stay within 12 months.
Its not a great idea and it may not make much money but it would allow tourists a chance to remember their time in Ireland better and when they watch it in the future they may be enticed to return.
