Is it right to have the word "Irish" in this negative heading for a Bono bashing

Bash Bono away, I don't really care... but am not sure, the guy that wrote this article mentions his being Irish like its a bad thing? Maybe its just me reading into things, but here it is, tell me what you think... Makes me wonder what it will be like when the Tories are back in power...

Note that it has been published in the mail. Which over here also has the word Irish in it's title. Boycott?

Yeah. It is fine as it is an English newspaper. It means he is foreign.

The Mail supported the Blackshirts and hasnt changed politically since then. There's a lot or racism in the British establishment.

QUENTIN LETTS: Why do politicians - including sadly, the Tories this week - fawn over Bono, a smug hypocritical, whining, tax dodging Irish mountebank?

So - a "smug, hypocritical, whining, tax dodging Irish mountebank"

    What's the problem?

Seems an unusually accurate description by the Mail's standards to me.

While noting that the writer refers to Bonos Irishness more than once it may be just be commenting on the strangeness of someone who does not have a vote in England being hawked around party conferences

It's obviously using the word Irish as a very negative adjetive throughout the entire article.

The headline put the word Irish amongst horrid descriptions.

I wouldnt get too worked up, if the British papers hate you then youre probobly on the right track.
They have became extremely racist and military obsessed in the past decade, all of which gives them a false sence of importance.

Imagine how Muslims feel, sometimes I pick up the Daily star in work and I am shocked at how racists it is.
The British obsession with war and military is in its own right a form of extremism.

If anyone speaks up about the evil wars theyre involved in, they will be demonised by the tabloids who are trying to peddle a mentality to their readers that war is heroic and great and everyone else who disagrees is either a terrorist or disrespecting their 'heroes'.

Peter Hitchens and other mail writers would support a reclamation of what they see as the British isles
