    The Apprentice 2009

Anyone else think this year's Irish Apprentice is even worse than the last, full of incompetents and blatant product placement?

The program typifies the aspirational class.

The types you see getting sloshed on Dawson Street every Friday/Saturday night only to don a cheap suit and scuffed shoes on a Monday morning.

Saw a bit of it and thought that there were an awful lot of stomach-churningly narcissitic twats on.
Twas funny how many were on the verge of tears at the end especially the guy on the left who looked like he was gonna scream for his mammy.
The future is bleak if these are genuinely picked to perform well rather than just for laughs.

I turned it off after five minutes last night. TBH it was good comedy but the product placement is sickening now. I changed over once he said: "Last week you were trying to sell HB, Ireland's favourite ice-cream."

It is so bad its brilliant!! It s laugh out loud cringe stuff. My grabdfather used always say "no matter how bad you feel, there is always someone worse off". I now know what he meant!
I hope Sam stays till the end. She is so cuckoo that even Pat Shortt couldn't come up with a character that bad!

Are these 20/30-somethings the "cream of the crop" that we should all be aspiring to be like?

I love these reality show type programmes. It makes me feel good about myself to see that they are many more dysfunctional people out there than me

How about a version where the winner gets a cushy public sector job for life.
Just 1 gramme of cocaine destroys 4m2 of tropical jungle. Give it up ya selfish b'stards.
