Minister for Foreign Affairs - Lisbon Could be Lost

On newstalk between 12 & 1pm today the minister for finance was on.

    They mentioned the following:

8% drop on yes support (Latest figures)

Its actually looking worse for the yes side according to the minister in relation to this time last year.

Then Eamonn? went on to read out the texts. He read about 8 - 10 texts to the show. ALL of them NO supporters. All of them with very valid and educated reasons for voting NO.

On top of this I think the ministers words turned more people against it... Was not a very good interview from his perspective I would think and definitly a help to the NO side.

Check out the show on podcast or the website? If possible. Its a good one!

G FitzG, the latest pin-up boy in the Taoiseach Bunker pointed out a few important fact. The previous polls had a question that was biased towards a Yes answer.

This poll was a simple how are you going to vote type question.

So you cant simply say that the YES side is down 8 points.

In that light, the poll is an excellent one for the YES side with relatively few undecideds at just 25% many of whom probably never darken a polling booth ever.
We had an approx 55% turnout the last time - it may go closer to 60% this time.

But unless there is an enormous cock-up, and God knows how accident prone this regime is, the referendum should be safely passed.

Don't be stupid. There are no very valid and educated reasons for voting No. Only nutters vote No.

On the other hand, everyone who considers voting Yes, will have read and understood the Treaty, and will know that a Yes vote will keep us at the heart of Europe.

I'm getting well sick of that phrase "Heart of Europe".. we're no more at the heart of Europe than we are on the nose of America. Cop yourselves on

Yes. ALL interviews by Fianna Fail members are excellent. The Party are excellent. The Lisbon Treaty is excellent. Ryan Turbidy is also excellent.

The NAMA legislation debates start the 16 of September. Once people realise the royal screwing that was planned for them in that... FF could be lucky to get out of the Dail, never mind get a referendum passed
