If you read further in the thread, you will notice that as far as EU issues in Ireland are concerned, anyone from the EU can come here and speak on Lisbon, it's enshrined in EU law and the Irish Constitution. So how can an Irish born person be stopped from doing the same via internet?
Fecks sake.. if you want to get so sadly pedantic where did I say you said I was Belgian.

    Thanks for the clarity.

I've no problem with anyone commenting on Irish affairs, however seeing little englanders, who forever moan about interference in their affairs by the dastardly EU (see any UK gutter press article about straight bananas and the like), "stick their nose" into the other Europeans affairs rather funny.

Those t-shirts they wore in the parliament also stuck in my craw.

How do we know SF stance is based on opportunism and anti-English racism?

    Look at today's Irish Times:

No vote urged by German, Greek, French, US activists

SHANNON PROTEST: LEFT-WING ACTIVISTS and anti-Lisbon Treaty campaigners from several EU member states will gather at Shannon airport today to put forward their arguments against the treaty and voice their opposition to closer co-operation between the EU and Nato.

Among the speakers at today’s gathering are: Socialist Party MEP Joe Higgins; former Sinn Féin MEP Mary Lou McDonald; Cllr Richard Boyd Barrett, chair of the Irish Anti-War Movement; and former MEP Patricia McKenna of the People’s Movement.

At a press conference yesterday, former German MEP Tobias Pfluger described the Lisbon Treaty as promoting a “militaristic, neo-liberal” agenda that would “change the EU absolutely”.

Reiner Braun, a German lawyer and activist, agreed. “Ireland is our hope that militarism will not be the future for Europe,” he said. “This is a battle for Europe, not against Europe.” Similar views were aired by French, Greek and American activists present.

Ms McDonald predicted Irish neutrality would again play a major role in the referendum.

You are new here. On this site we are accustomed to a modicum of basic literacy. Perhaps you should find some other site where your garbled drivel would be appreciated.

    Hi,

I for one would not incline to so readily judge as there are many excellent brains with chronic dyslexia - dyspraxia can hamper communication but not decision making and noting the lack of capitalisation PERHAPS the author you castigate is forced to use a keyboard with just one hand.

He has made 2 postings - may I suggest that if your education was inadequate and you did not learn tollerance just do not read his posting.

Wisdom in society is surely more valuable than sophisticated literacy - the prolixity of my response being a downside of literacy ;-(

    Regards,
    Greg L-W.

Verbosity I prefer to call it. As for "tolerance", why you can't even spell it !

Greg L. W., sorry but the word is 'tolerance', and you sound just little bit

too correct .Live is tough and we must learn to take the rough with the smooth.

We are way too afraid to offend,so we say nothing at all. Better to be a little ,[not

too] offensive than too afraid to speak at all

On the Irish net especially, the spelling is very bad. Now we all make mistakes

when we write a lot, but sometimes it needs to pointed out

or it just goes on and#############on

But I am sure you are very kind .and maybe it is the manner of correction which

    needs to be softened.
